About the Australian Embassy in Hungary

The Australian Embassy in Budapest is the representative office of the Australian Government in Hungary. The Australian Ambassador to Hungary is Mr John Griffin.

The Australian Embassy's role is:

• to advance Australia's bilateral relationship with Hungary,
• to promote Australia's economic interests in Hungary,
• to provide Australians in Hungary with high level consular and passport services,
• to provide visa and citizenship services,
• to promote awareness and public understanding in Hungary of Australian foreign and trade policy, including through cultural activities,
and to provide services for Australian Government and Parliamantery activities.
